Short, focused online lessons on research skills, to follow at your own pace with monthly live question sessions.
The online research education series is a set of short, focused lessons on research skills that busy clinicians can follow at their own pace. Each lesson is 20 to 30 minutes and covers one skill, such as writing a research question, reading a forest plot or preparing an ethics application. Sintieh Research Academy adds new lessons through the year and announces them in the information bar.

What the online educational series includes
- Recorded lessons with slides and worked examples.
- A short exercise after each lesson.
- A monthly live question session with an SRA mentor.
- A reading list linked to open-access papers.
- A certificate of participation for each completed module.
Duration and format
Self-paced. Modules of four to six lessons are released together. Lessons are online; the live sessions are online with a recording afterwards. For a structured course with deadlines, see the research methodology course; for one-to-one support, see one-on-one research mentorship.

Our standards
Every piece of work follows a written protocol and, where people are involved, ethical approval before data collection. We report to the partner as well as to a journal, and we follow ICMJE authorship rules. As a result, partners can rely on what Sintieh Research Academy delivers, and readers can check every claim against its source. In addition, all of our online educational series work is delivered by staff and fellows who have themselves published.
