Research project execution
Full-service execution of research projects, from planning and field data collection to analysis and publication.
Research project execution is for organisations that have a question and a budget but not the team to deliver the study. Sintieh Research Academy plans the work, recruits and trains field teams, collects and manages the data, runs the analysis and writes the report or paper. We have delivered projects for hospitals, NGOs, universities and development agencies in five African countries.
Who research project execution is for
- Hospitals that need a baseline survey, a clinical audit or a service evaluation.
- NGOs that must evaluate a programme for a donor.
- Universities and principal investigators who need a local partner in Cameroon.
- Health innovators piloting a product in a real setting.
What research project execution includes
- Study design, protocol and ethics application.
- Sampling, tool development and translation.
- Field teams trained on REDCap, ODK or KoboToolbox, with daily quality checks.
- Data cleaning, analysis in Stata, R or SPSS, and qualitative analysis in NVivo.
- A report for the partner and, where wanted, a manuscript for a journal.
Duration and format
A typical project runs three to nine months. Fieldwork is led from Buea and can extend to other regions and countries with local partners. Our standards
Every piece of work follows a written protocol and, where people are involved, ethical approval before data collection. We report to the partner as well as to a journal, and we follow ICMJE authorship rules. As a result, partners can rely on what Sintieh Research Academy delivers, and readers can check every claim against its source. In addition, all of our research project execution work is delivered by staff and fellows who have themselves published.
