Call for participation: AP-CME study

Sintieh Research Academy is conducting a study on continuing medical education in Cameroon: the attitudes and practices of healthcare professionals towards continuing medical education and professional capacity building (the AP-CME study). If you are a doctor, nurse, midwife, pharmacist, laboratory scientist or allied health professional working in Cameroon, we invite you to take part.

What participation involves

An online questionnaire of 10 to 15 minutes. Responses are anonymous, and taking part is voluntary. You can stop at any point. The questionnaire asks about your access to training, what you have completed in the last two years, what stops you from doing more, and what you would find useful.

• Research impact: the results will shape continuing medical education programmes in Cameroon.

Who can take part in the continuing medical education study

Any healthcare professional currently practising in Cameroon, in the public or private sector, in a hospital, health centre, laboratory, pharmacy or community setting. Students on clinical placement are welcome to respond too; the questionnaire asks about your role so that answers can be analysed by group. There is no payment for taking part, and no information that could identify you is collected.

What happens to the results

Findings will be shared with the Ministry of Public Health, professional associations and training institutions, and published in a peer-reviewed journal. In addition, Sintieh Research Academy will use the results to shape its own continuing education courses, so that the training on offer matches what health professionals in Cameroon say they need.

Ethics and contact
